Felicia Bianchi gets another important certification.
Felicia Bianchi (PMO) recently passed her Agile Practitioner Certification three-hour exam. She's been studying on this one for some time (lots of tabbed/highlighted books in her office, at least 21 hours of contact training, worry worry, think think, etc.).
To become a certified Agile practitioner, one must have at least 2000 hours of verifiable project management work and 1500 hours of Agile experience. You can see the requirements at http://www.pmi.org/Certification/New-PMI-Agile-Certification.aspx.
She's the first person at Emory to get this certification; there are just over 500 of these world-wide as the exam just came out of its pilot program on 1/31/12. A pretty big deal...

Sandra Butler is a valuable asset to Emory's Blackboard community.
Sandra Butler (Enterprise Applications) was recently selected to participate as a member in the Blackboard Idea Exchange (BIE) Program. The BIE is intended to act as an influential and structured client advisory program for the Blackboard Learn platform, and to represent the voice of the client community by providing opportunities for members to interact with Blackboard in a variety of ways.
As a BIE member, she will receive many benefits, including:
Sandra's membership will terminate two years from now. Congratulations on this major miletsone!
Khalid Sharif gets the job done.
Recently, the Service Desk received a call from Tonya Jefferson, a student in RSPH. While faculty and staff occasionally deliver praise, it is rare when a student reaches out to us.
She wanted to let me know how much she appreciated Khalid Sharif (Enterprise Services) and his outstanding customer service and patience. Tonya stated that he was calm and extremely helpful during a difficult situation.
Khalid – thanks for going the extra mile and providing outstanding customer service!
